For the last couple of years I have had the pleasure to work with Lisa on many projects. For those of you that have been following our work. You know by now that she is into fitness and for the last year or more she has set her sites on bodybuilding and her pro card.
We decided to do these images in between a growth and cut phase to be able to capture the softer side of female bodybuilding. She still has her size and mass. But is able to show women can be feminine and yet be muscular and still a woman, mother, wife and daughter. During this phase she is enjoying a little more relaxed eating schedule. This means she get to eat here favorite guilty food.....DONUTS!!! (Don't judge)
In this sport it takes a lot to get to this point. Months and even years in the gym, a VERY strict diet, lots of supplements and WAY too much cardio. I know, I did all this back in the 90's. Looking back its was fun but glad I am past that point in my life. Back to Lisa, most ask why do this? Easy, a healthier lifestyle, look good naked, having the ability to control how you look and target areas you want improvement in. Finally, to be able to look back when you reach the golden years and say, Hell yes I did that and have no regrets about it one single bit.
These images are special for her. She gets to show off her improvements from last year to this year. IF you know how this affects the mental aspect, then you know having good gains in the right places does wonders for you confidence and moral. I have seen this in her since she stared this phase to get her pro card this year when she steps on that stage. All the prep, lifting, extra expenses on the clothes (posing suits ain't cheap either) and time planning the workouts and meals. It pays off in the end.
This is her time to shine and ROAR. Go get that card Lisa! Don't let anything stop you!
