A Wedding of Galatic Proportions: Rebels and The Empire unite!!

Afternoon all,

I'm about to share a post with you that, well contains probably the coolest wedding I have ever photographer in my career so far.

As some of you know I am a fan of Cosplay (look it up if you don't know what it is) and have been for some time. I used to photograph it back when I lived in FL for a local company and several troupes that cosplayed. Well fast forward to 2014!

Yes this post is a couple of years late (actually not, I had it on another site after I shot it. Just sharing it here to keep it out there).

If you haven't already guessed from the title This is Themed wedding for Star Wars.

My wife's cousin is also a Cosplayer (Boba Fett) as well as his now wife (Boush). Both are members of a organization  (Legion as they are called) that like to dress up in their "Official" costumes and do charity work for a very good cause.  They are members of what is known as 501st Legion (Vaders 1st).

The entire ceremony was planned down to a tee and held at All-Con in Dallas. The event couldn't have been better.  There were wookies, jawa's stroomtroopers and many other members of the Star wars Universe present.

The ceremony was conducted by Anikin, the Bride was walked down the isle by Vader himself and R2D2 played the Imperial march as the bride walked down the isle. After the nuptials, the procession was honored with raised light sabers to honor the union of the bride and groom. The images that follow are but a section of the day. Enjoy.

So as you can see, this wedding turned out to be great and a whole lot of fun.  Like I said, this is by far the best wedding I have photographed in my career yet.

Let me know what you think.
